AMD RX 9070 XT Review: The Value King of 2026

Launched at $599 to outperform cards costing hundreds more. It now sells around $699.99, 16.9% over that list price, in a market where almost nothing is at MSRP.

Update, August 2026: the verdict below rests on the $599 MSRP, which is no longer what anyone pays. Our August 2026 GPU Price Index has the RX 9070 XT at $699.99, 16.9% over list. The value case survives in relative terms, since 16 of 17 priority GPUs sell above MSRP and this card's premium is mid-pack rather than punitive: every faster NVIDIA card is marked up harder (the RTX 5070 Ti is 28.2% over, the RTX 5080 40.1%, the RTX 5090 115.1%), though a few cheaper and last-generation cards sit closer to list, and the RX 6800 XT is actually below it. But "no-brainer at $599" is now a historical statement rather than a live one. See the live RX 9070 XT page for today's low.
